Preschool and early elementary age students are invited to join us for an explorative exploration through the world of art history, art movements, and creativity. Students will dive into a wide variety of mediums & styles of art in this foundational art class. Miss Chelbi will help nurture their creativity + love for art, in this process over product art class where students will practice prewriting activities and refind those motor skills in a fun, sensory filled way.

Our toddler class is perfect for ages 2-4 year olds. This class focuses on letting the child experiment and explore various art mediums and materials in an independent and safe environment. There are stations located in different areas of the classroom to allow the students to paint, draw, color, explore with clay and all types of mixed media. (Parents are asked to join their child for this class.)

In this course students will learn a variety of techniques for creating with clay, including wheel throwing, slab building, coil building and combining sculptural elements with functional forms.  Students are encouraged to research and plan ideas for personal projects throughout the course.

5:30-6:30 Stop Motion Anime Video | Zoe | $35 for 1 or $390 for 13 weeks

Students ages 6+ are invited to join the world of animations. Both stop motion + GIF animations will be explored in three app programs; imovie, procreate, + stop motion studio. Students are welcome to bring their own items from home or utilize our supply of plasticine clay, pearler beads, & legos to create stop motion films in the stop motion studio app. In procreate, students will learn how to digitally draw and create an animation bringing their drawings to life! Students are welcome to provide their own ipads and ipencils or utilize the studio ipads and pencils.

In this engaging class, children will begin each session by listening to a book. Rather than focusing on a finished product, children will enjoy the journey of creating through painting, printing, collage, sculpture, sensory materials, and mixed-media exploration. Blending happy accidents of color and shape with the form and structure of ink work can take your art making in directions you can not predict.  We will go step by step to familiarize ourselves with the qualities of watercolor; creating washes, blooms, layers, and textures. We will play with a variety of inks; waterproof india ink, acrylic inks, fine-liners, dip pens and brushes to create detailed, expressive techniques.  

Duration: 2 hours per class

Materials will be provided.  A suggested material list can be sent out for artists who prefer to bring their own.

Experience:  Beginner-friendly. Experienced artists are also welcome.

There is nothing like the sense of achievement you get when looking back on a completed sketchbook.  It stands as a record of your thoughts, your ideas, journeys you took, places and people you encountered along the way and the art materials and techniques you discovered or experimented with.  Not sure where to start? This is the class for you!  Maybe you already have a few sketchbooks and you’re scared to start in on those pristine white pages in case you mess up! Hint: You can’t mess it up, I promise!  We will walk through media, paper types, the best sizes of book, and then we will explore a variety of techniques - pencil, pen, watercolor, gouache, fine-liner pens etc. so you’ll have the confidence to fill up the blank pages with glorious spreads.  

Duration: 2 hours per class

Most materials will be provided. A selection of sketchbooks will be available for purchase.

Experience: Beginner-friendly. Curious, ‘never tried art’ artists welcome! Even experienced artists will learn something new.

Join Dawn of DAB Stained Glass Artistry as she teaches you the ins and out of soldering to create your own stained glass piece. Each workshop includes 2 hours of instruction, materials, and precut glass.
