Families with children in grades K and up may enroll them in our After School Art Program on Mondays through Fridays. Children will unleash their creativity with various activities, and have use of our art supplies. Students can be dropped off or DRES students can take the bus to the studio directly from school.

Elementary aged students are invited to join Chelbi as they explore the world of watercolors + acrylics. Students will learn tricks, techniques and tips to achieve their painting dreams. Chelbi’s kind + supportive teaching style will help students to feel successful in this youth art class.

5:00-6:00 Mixed Media Class | Instructor Pamela | ages 5+ | $35 single or $240 for 8

Mixed Media with Ms. Pamela: Students will dive into a world of texture, combining watercolor, acrylics, oil pastels, and collage materials like fabric, recycled materials, photography, jewels, shells, and sand. This class focuses on creative experimentation and color mixing, allowing children to create unique, layered masterpieces.

5:30-6:30 Video Making + Animations | instructor Chelbi | ages 6+ |  $35.00 or $240 for 8

Students ages 6+ are invited to join the world of animations. Both stop motion + GIF animations will be explored in three app programs; imovie, procreate, + stop motion studio. Students are welcome to bring their own items from home or utilize our supply of plasticine clay, pearler beads, & legos to create stop motion films in the stop motion studio app. In procreate, students will learn how to digitally draw and create an animation bringing their drawings to life! Students are welcome to provide their own ipads and ipencils or utilize the studio ipads and pencils.

Tuesday

10:00-11:00 Little O’Keeffe’s | Instructor Chelbi | ages 2.5-6 | $35 for a single class or $270 for 9

Preschool ages students are invited to join us for an explorative exploration through the world of art history, art movements, and creativity. Students will dive into a wide variety of mediums & styles of art in this foundational art class. Miss Chelbi will help nurture their creativity + love for art, in this process over product art class where students will practice prewriting activities and refind those motor skills in a fun, sensory filled way.

Students will learn the art of embroidery + explore other various fiber arts; crochet, needle felting, & weaving. Chelbi will lead this 10 week course where students will leave with the skills they need to create their own embroidered clothing & wall hangings. Students will learn specific stitches & proper use of tools.

NYC graffiti and pop art king; this artist had a short life but his impression on the art world will live forever. Students will explore his work and create their own paintings and sculptures inspired by his.

Combining various art materials, weekly themes, and free expression, students will dive into the fun world of art journaling! Journals become a colorful compilation of student work, highlighting growth and ideas over time

5:30-6:30 Needle Punch Embroidery | Instructor Pamela | ages 8+ | $35 for a single or $270 for 9 weeks

In this needle punch embroidery class Pamela will teach you the technique of using a punch needle to create textured, yarn-based designs on fabric. This class will cover basic skills like threading the punch needle, securing fabric in a hoop or frame, and various stitching techniques, including changing colors and finishing the project. Beginners are welcome.

Students will focus on building foundational skills for drawing in this 10 week class which will focus on developing drawings based on characters, comics, and anime. Students will explore facial expressions, facial features, and how to combine their skills to be successful in their art.

4:45-5:45 Anime Drawing | instructor Zoe | ages 7+ |  $35.00 single or $270 for 9

Students will dive into the world of Anime and Manga, where Zoe will lead students in techniques and tricks to help with drawing anime characters. Students will focus on the style of anime and manga to create 2D drawings using pens, ink, pencil, and other drawing materials.

Students will learn to draw from life using charcoal, pencil, and pen. We will still lifes to create works of art where we can practice our shading, reverse drawings, and more to refine our fundamental drawing skills.

There are stations located in different areas of the classroom to allow the students to paint, draw, color, explore with clay and all types of mixed media. (Parents are asked to join their child for this class.)

5/22 Week 4: Joining Techniques: How to join squares together to make a larger project

3 hours of art which includes a PG movie & pizza. Instructors will be on hand to help your child work on a variety of mediums while everyone gets a night off or out! A great excuse to grab dinner with a special someone or finish up errands.

1:00-3:00 4/4 Easter Spring Glass Eggs | with DAB Glass Artistry | $90

Students will use a 4.5 wooden base to create a mosaic egg using scrap stained glass to create them with instructions and expertise by DAB Stained Glass Artistry. These make a beautiful keepsake or a special decoration for the spring season.

Join DAB Stained Glass Artistry to make your own stained glass tulips. Students will learn to solder and finish their own bouquets. Bouquets start at $75 for 2. Make one for your whole family (limited to 5 max) Choose your tulip color. All materials are included

11:00-1:00 Sewing Machine 101 | Instructor Abby | $210 for 3 classes

You got a machine for Christmas or you inherited your grandma's machine…now what?!

Abby will explore with you all the buttons and gadgets that came along with your machine. Old or new, we can learn together! You will leave with a better understanding of your machine, how to troubleshoot and make items you have been dreaming of.
